Call for Change

Call For Change

Re: Nov. 7th, some early thoughts -

I'm scared.

I just don't believe that Rove & Company are gonna walk away for the House that easily. Something is gonna happen. There is too much dirt hidden there for the Dems to sort through. Can you imagine the hearings that are gonna happen and the little oopsies that the Republicans are gonna have to explain? And, lets not forget the little side deals to Mickey Dee's (McDonald - Douglas), LockMart (Lockeed Martin), Halliburton & a host of others that have been happening for the last X years that may show their dirty faces. This could make Watergate and other big scandals look trivial.

No, this ain't over yet. So far the only good thing is that Dem early vote & absentee ballots are comming in at about 1.5x the rate that Republican's are. If this trend continues that's gonna make the Republican GOTV effort pretty hard to manage. Problem is that the Republican can still show up the day of the election so make sure you and all your friends have gotten their ballots in by the 7th. I'm hoping things aren't crazy that day but the polls may be hell.

Heather lies again -

Looks like Heather has lied yet again. From a source in the Dem party it appears that during the negotiations to set up the debate between Heather and Patsy both sides agreed to not use footage from the debate in their commercials.

Well, check out Heather's latest commercial. It should come as no suprise that as soon as Heather saw a advantage in breaking this agreement she did.

Who got YouTube to remove Ch 7's interview with Heather?

Until late last week you could find this 1995 video of Ch 7's (KOAT TV) investigation into "The Missing File Incident" and their reporter's interview with Heather Wilson at YouTube:

This whole thing has been the subject of speculation for years. What was in the file about her husband and why did she have it moved once she took over the State Children, Youth, and Families Department? The appearance of this video on YouTube reignited and esculated the whole issue. Rumors have been running around for years but none of her opposing candidates have dared to bring them up.

Here's a listing of the articles that have shown up since the arrival of the YouTube video clip:

On The Raw Story an article enttled: "Congresswoman on page board buried file on husband's child abuse allegation"

On albloggerque a posting titled ""Lost" Police Incident Report...Is This What Heather Wilson "Lost" 13 Years Ago?"

On Daily Kos a post titled "NM-01: Police Report Hidden by Wilson Is Found (Updated)"

And finally the Albuquerque Journal published an article last Friday, 10-20-06, entitled "Wilson's Report Story Resurfaces", section B - page 1.

An interesting question is why was the YouTube clip removed. From conversations with the person who placed it there I'm told "someone" complained that it infringed on Channel 7's, KOAT's copyright. However, since this type of complaint can be filled electronically he is not sure who really complained. Prehaps someone should call Channel 7 and ask.

If I find more articles on the topic I'll update this post.......

Abq. Tribune endorses Madrid, Abq. Journal endorses Wilson

The title says it all -

The Journal is basically a Republican paper that endorses Dems when it doesn't have a choice. They have loved Heather ever since she flew into town years ago, covered up for her whenever they could, and just can't understand why a hugh chunk of Albuquerque detests the ground she slimes upon.

The Tribue is somewhat the opposite except it has a bit more ethics in its editorial page. Its endoresment is interesting because they are so annoyed right now with Madrid. You see she wouldn't have more debates to stroke their personal egos. After all the press does need to feel important even if its totally irrelevant. Frankly besides them and a few other members of the establishment press no one else really cares. Madrid's time is much better served shaking hands in Abq's south valley than giving a few brainless reporters something to snipe about.

And yes a big yawn was had by all -

Patsy up/Heather down, happy day!

Patricia Madrid, July 29, 06

Besides Nov. 7th no other poll in NM counts as much as the ones from the Abq. Journal. They have a habit of being pretty much on the mark - down to the last percent!

Anyway, the deal is its Patsy Madrid 45% and Heather Wilson 42% - the rest being 9% undecided and 4% neither. If you pull out the "neithers" its Patsy at 46.8% and Heather at 43.7%. This is the first time ever that Heather Wilson has been down in this poll.

Dem's are comming home!
Women are comming home!
Hispanics are comming home!

If you want to read the whole thing go to this link off of the blog New Mexico Politics with Joe Monahan.

What makes this all the better is that this is all true even after the Republicans have dumped tons of money into the race and none of it seems to matter.

Google donates $1K to Heather

wilson

I'm sad to say that the beloved Google via its PAC has donated $1,000 to the evil one. For the horrifying details go to this Mercury News article.

While its still just 1K$ they also hosted a fund raiser for her so the total haul is lots greater than their PAC's donation.

Heather still one with Drug Companies

Heather and her support from Drug Companies

This is from AARP's web site.

Even today the Drug Industry's contribution of $105,000 to Heather continues to pay dividens.

Its about time!!!!!!!!!!

A few fun observations from the Chris Matthew Show via the nice folks at YouTube.

The Pubs have been using the Religious Right for a long, long time and while I have zero sympathy with either side it will be amusing to watch the divorce.

The Daily Show - 2006.10.02 - Mark Foley

Jon Stewart at his very, very best!

YouTube strikes again!

Mark Foley Boogie

Amazing, even for FOX & O'Reilly!

At FOX Mark Foley becomes a Democrat

From Brad Blog - looks like O'Reilly handled the Republican's pesky Foley issue by changing him into a Democrat! If it was any other network I'd say it was a mistake but on FOX its totally in character.
